Gary and Alicia Weber

Their kids think they're "dive-aholocs"!

If you were to ask our three adult children to describe us in one word, we are pretty sure they would say “dive-aholics!” But that came about very differently for both of us. Gary always wanted to try scuba diving and did many resort courses before he decided to get certified on vacation Then it was a steady stream of continuing education at Aquatic-World that lead him to become an instructor. Alicia’s resort course was not as successful and she really thought snorkeling was enough for her. Then she spent a vacation waiting for the dive boat to return Gary to her and she decided she had to at least try diving. At home she went to Aquatic-World and signed up for an open water course. That was it, next vacation she realized that they were both in love with the 70% of the world most people don’t get to experience.

Alicia retired early from Upstate Medical Center in 2014 and works per diem as a Registered Nurse with Crouse Hospital stroke team and teaches diving at Aquatic- World. Gary a crane mechanic taking early retirement from Novelis in 2016, plans on working at Aquatic-World. We believe that life is too short and you have to enjoy it while you can.

We wanted to share our love of diving and traveling with others. As instructors, the smiles we see from students is priceless! We have been blessed with the opportunity to introduce other divers to beautiful places and make many new friends along the way.
